Open firing ouside actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence: Police reports

• Unidentified persons open fire outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai's Bandra area
• The incident took place at around 5 am in the morning 
• Police have recieved information about four rounds of firing 

Early Sunday morning, two unidentified persons opened fire outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai's Bandra area, as per police sources. The incident saw the assailants firing three rounds outside the Galaxy Apartments, where the actor resides. Mumbai Police and the crime branch have initiated an investigation into the matter, with a team of forensic experts also at the scene.

"Today at around 5 am, two unidentified people opened fire outside the house of actor Salman Khan in Bandra. Police have received information about 3 rounds of firing. Mumbai Police's Crime Branch has reached the spot for investigation," according to Mumbai police.

Police said one bullet hit the building's wall. According to a crime branch official who was at the scene the two persons wearing helmets came on a bike from the Bandstand side and fired four to five rounds towards the building and in the air.

This incident comes amidst heightened security concerns for Salman Khan, whose security cover was beefed up to Y-Plus since November 2022 following threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. The actor has also been granted a licence to carry a personal weapon. He has also purchased a new bulletproof vehicle.
